Canine Disc
Anne Bachewich and her friends Sarah and Brent Sobry brought Canine Disc or "Disc Dog" to Manitoba 2003 by starting the first disc club in Western Canada, Westman Disc Dogs. WDD has now folded but Canine Disc continues on in Winnipeg with 'Peg City Disc Dogz, and a small Brandon group of discers.
If you are looking for a fun way to exercise your dog, Canine Disc could be for you. Dogs need to have some interest in chasing a ball or toy, but even those without can be taught.
Our classes are 45 minutes long each
$75 + GST for six classes.
We have a supply of discs for you to purchase as well. Specially "made for dogs" discs are needed.
Canine Disc can be done in the winter on warmer days as well so there is really no excuse for not getting out and playing disc with your dog!
Don't worry if you think your dog can't bring the disc back or jump high. Dogs do not need to be able to jump into the air to play - in fact our best disc dog Emmett hardly even leaves the ground when he catches!
