Our Board & Train program has been developed and refined over many years to give you the best training result we can give. Contrary to what some say, Board & Trains can and do work. Scroll down to find out which clients would really benefit from our Board & Train program.
Day Board & Train - We can train your dog during day while you are at work. This is a great option for busy people who need help with their dog or puppy during the day but can drop by to pick up the dog after work or after a few days with us. We start training behaviors for you so that you will have a head start when you have time to train at home.

You dog will experience the following during our B & T Program:
-A personalized training plan specifically designed for your dog.
-Proper socialization with other dogs and people in a variety of different situations.

-A quality exercise and conditioning program, consisting of walking, hiking, fetch or other dog sports that are appropriate to your dog, both on and off leash.
-Puppies will learn how to play properly and respect other dogs.
-Dogs will learn how to accept regular basic grooming: bathing, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning.
- Dogs will also learn the basics in obedience plus much more. They will also be started in agility, retrieving, disc or whatever sports are appealing to you and your dog.
**Any behavior issues, especially aggression, that expose themselves during training may preclude the desired result such as passing obedience testing in a distracted environment.**

- Good house and yard manners.
- Living together with other well trained dogs.
- Regular Group Training with our other well-trained adult dogs.
- We can also work on behavior issues during a B & T but this may prevent the full manners training due to time constraints. We will gladly work on behavior issues only during a board and train.
- Our Board & Train Program is always tailored to your training goals and your dog's abilities and needs. Our initial evaluation is included in the Board & Train price.
Your Part in the Program
-At the conclusion of your dog's Board & Train Program we will instruct you in person over one or several sessions on how to keep your dog trained in other environments. You will also receive weekly video updates of your dog's progress and a training DVD of exactly what was done in training and what you will need to do for your dog when you have her/him home with you.
-You will need to commit to following the practices that have been used in training your dog so that she stays trained at your home.

-Our Board & Train Program graduates (and their humans) have access to lifetime professional training refreshers one day out of every month or you may save up to three days and take a few days for vacation to Sandy Lake where we will give you and your dog maintenance training. Pre-booking is necessary for this.
-Our canine students take their doggie education Western Manitoba, Canada (Westman). Why not send your dog for a vacation and education with us!?
To hold your booking, there is a $75 non-refundable deposit, which is applied to your total at the end of the program. You may cancel anytime before your dog arrives here.
The Board & Train Program costs $300 a week. This may be paid in cash or personal cheque at the time of drop off. You may cancel the program anytime but the payment is non-refundable after the start date of the program.

The dog needs to be at least 4 months old, with all shots up to date.
Your dog will live in our home with us and our friendly house dogs, but will also spend some time in our dog room with other dogs. This process helps to create an environment that produces well rounded dogs.
You will need to provide your dog's food, a blanket or bedding, and six foot leash and buckle collar.
Our Board & Train Program would be beneficial to the following clients:
- those who do not have time to train their own dog due to work or other commitments but feel they still would like to have a well-trained dog in the family.
- are going to have to leave for an extended period of time while the dog is fairly young, and the dog will need to be boarded, but would still like a well-trained dog when they return.
- would like to expose their dog to many different situations and experiences to create a well-rounded dog, especially if there are children in the family.
- are having trouble solving their dog's behavioral problems on their own, or with other trainers.
- wish to achieve a certain level of training with their dog more quickly.
- wish to have their dog earn dog sport titles for breeding qualifications.
